Job summary

Tekapo Springs is seeking a dedicated lifeguard to join our team at the Tekapo Springs pools. Training will be provided to achieve first aid and lifeguard qualifications, and you will help care for five pools in a scenic setting near Mt John and Alpine Lake Tekapo.

We offer a permanent role with pay starting from 26 NZD per hour (usually after 2 weeks of qualification). There are strong opportunities to learn, grow, and move up within the business in a supportive environment.

Job description

Tekapo Springs is a leading tourism activity operator based in Lake Tekapo. We offer summer and winter activities including hot pools, an aqua play and cooler deep pool, a snow tube-park, ice rink, mini-golf, a fully equipped day spa and licensed café. We think we have one of the best views in the world – mountains, lakes and stars! We also operate star gazing tours at night.

We are looking for a keen learner who can remain focused and cares about keeping people safe. This person would join our existing team of lifeguards looking after our 5 pools here at Tekapo Springs.

Training can be provided to get you first aid and lifeguard qualified.

This role will also include a mixture of work ranging from assisting with our other seasonal activities. There is a heap to learn and a great opportunity awaits.
