Job summary

Hataitai School is seeking an experienced Learning Support Coordinator to strengthen inclusive learning across our full primary. You will know ākonga well, collaborate with teachers, whānau and specialists, and help shape timely, practical support.

Working with teachers, leaders and external agencies, you will coordinate learning plans, interventions, and resources, ensuring culturally responsive partnerships and smooth transitions for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Hold current New Zealand teacher registration and certification.
• Experience supporting neurodiverse learners and diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with IEPs, ORS, RTLB and Ministry learning support processes would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• support early identification and ongoing assessment of learning needs
• coordinate individual learning and support plans
• work alongside teachers to strengthen inclusive classroom practice
• coordinate targeted interventions and monitor their impact
• support the effective allocation of learning support resources
• build strong, culturally responsive partnerships with ākonga and whānau
• liaise with specialist services, including RTLB and the Ministry of Education
• support effective transitions and maintain accurate, confidential records
• contribute to school-wide planning and our inclusive culture.
