Job summary

New Zealand Skills & Education Group seeks an experienced Learner Content & Assessment Designer from the tertiary sector to develop engaging, learner‑centred online course materials and assessments aligned with NZQA requirements.

This part‑time, 6‑month fixed‑term role offers hybrid or remote working arrangements and reports to the Group Director - Quality Assurance & Products. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, academic leaders and industry stakeholders to support student success.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in New Zealand tertiary education sector.
Ability to develop and design tertiary qualifications from Level 2–8.
Experience creating learner-centered online content and assessments.

Responsibilities

Design and develop engaging online course materials aligned to programmes.
Create formative and summative assessments meeting accreditation and moderation requirements.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Heads of School on programme rollouts.
Utilise LMS tools and digital technologies to enhance learner engagement.
Ensure materials meet quality standards, timelines and compliance.
