Job summary

NZQA Specialist Workforce is seeking a Specialist Workforce Editor to support development, review, and delivery of New Zealand qualifications and assessor resources.

You will edit and publish high-quality materials, apply NZQA style, plain language, accessibility, and SEO standards, while coordinating multiple publishing projects with subject matter experts. This role is on-site in New Zealand and offers opportunities to influence learning resources nationwide.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in writing, editing, publication design, and content production.
• Strong desktop and web publishing skills.
• Experience producing digital and multimedia content, including image and video editing.
• Demonstrated success coordinating projects and delivering quality outputs across competing deadlines.
• Knowledge of quality assurance practices and continuous improvement principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural responsiveness.
• Desirable: Knowledge of the New Zealand education system.
• Understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
• Intercultural communication skills within educational environments.
