Job summary

Natural Habitats in Queenstown is seeking an experienced Landscaper to craft stunning backyards and civil projects across the Queenstown/Otago area. You will join a team led by a Team Leader, performing site set-out, planting, timber work and lawn care, with responsibilities varying by project.

If you enjoy outdoor, practical work with a sense of accomplishment, this is the job for you. A fit, team-oriented candidate who is eager to learn and holds a valid driver’s license will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Soft-scaping knowledge including plants, trees (native focus), soil composition, weed identification and pest control.
• Good level of fitness with active movement and lifting throughout the day.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to learn.
• Driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Site set-out and planting as part of project delivery.
• Timber work and lawn care across outdoor sites.
• Work as part of a team reporting to a Team Leader.
• Engage in various landscaping tasks depending on project needs.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking experienced and passionate Landscaper to create the stunning backyards and civil projects that we're known for in the Queenstown/Otago area.

As a Landscaper you are key to our success – working as part of a team and reporting to a Team Leader, you'll do everything from site set-out to planting, timber work, lawn care and much more. The responsibilities are dependent on the project work that we have available.

If you enjoy spending your days outdoors and getting involved in practical work with a real sense of accomplishment, this is the job for you!

About You:

Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, and have a flair for transforming outdoor spaces?

• Soft-scaping – basic knowledge of plants, trees (especially natives), soil composition, weed identification, pest control and more
• Great level of fitness– you’ll be actively moving and lifting all day(healthy!)
• Great Communication Skills and positivity
• The ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Driver’s license

Advantageous but not essential:

• Experience in Hardscaping elements
• First Aid certification
• Site Safe certification
• Ability to drive a Manual vehicle
