Job summary

Bupa Cashmere View Care Home in Christchurch, NZ seeks an Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging activities and group programs.

You will review individual activity plans, promote a warm and stimulating environment, and build strong communication with residents, families, and staff. NZQA Diversional Therapy level preferred, with a passion for making a positive impact on lives in aged care.

Qualifications

• NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role within aged care desirable.
• Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents.
• Demonstrate outstanding communication skills.
• A fun personality with a creative flair.
• A clean, full driver’s licence is preferable, as you may drive the van for resident outings.
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type:Permanent Part-Time
• Hours:Average 28 hours per week
• Shift Time:9.30am - 4pm
• Roster Pattern:4 days on, 2 days off(6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

Bupa Cashmere View Care Home is located in Somerfield, Christchurch, in a beautiful garden setting, alongside the Heathcote River. Known for its warm, homely atmosphere, the care home offers rest home, hospital, and specialist dementia (psychogeriatric) care.

As an Activities Assistant, you will:
