Job summary

Fliptech in Auckland is seeking an experienced IT Systems Analyst to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. You will collaborate with clients and internal technical teams to analyse requirements, design effective system solutions, and support deployment, integration, and optimisation of IT systems.

The role acts as the crucial link between business needs and technical delivery, covering apps, cloud, data, and security considerations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in systems analysis, software implementation, or system integration.
Strong analytical, requirements gathering, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of methodologies for business and systems analysis.
Knowledge of software applications, databases, cloud-based systems, and IT infrastructure.
Familiarity with APIs and common data formats such as JSON and XML.
Experience with SIT/UAT testing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Consult with clients and stakeholders to identify, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
Analyse existing processes, workflows, applications, and infrastructure to identify issues and technology needs.
Translate objectives into detailed functional and technical specifications.
Design system solutions and data flows, covering interfaces and data structures.
Prepare specs for API integrations and system interfaces.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams during integration projects.
Support testing, deployment, and post-implementation optimisation.
Document system configurations, workflows, and technical requirements.
Liaise between business needs and software/infrastructure teams throughout the project lifecycle.
