Job summary

Fliptech in Auckland seeks an experienced IT Systems Analyst to join our team. The role focuses on analysing business and technology requirements, evaluating existing systems, and designing solutions to support deployment and optimisation of IT systems.

You will act as a bridge between clients' needs and technical delivery, coordinating with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure scalable, secure, and high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in systems analysis or software implementation.
• Strong analytical, requirements-gathering, and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles and IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of APIs and data formats like JSON and XML.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technology requirements and translate them into system specifications.
• Evaluate existing systems and design appropriate system solutions.
• Support development, integration, deployment, and optimisation of IT systems.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams as liaison between business and tech.
• Prepare functional and technical specifications for APIs and integrations.
• Ensure alignment with security, data protection and NZ privacy requirements.
