Job summary

FortifyIT Ltd. is seeking an IT Support Technician (L1 with some L2) for a hybrid role combining remote work and onsite duties around Auckland. The position is full-time, with a blend of home-based queue management and travel to customer sites as needed.

You will handle Microsoft 365 and Entra administration, onboarding/offboarding, device setup, and routine monitoring, building towards higher‑level work. A reliable vehicle and NZ driver’s licence are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in IT support, helpdesk or MSP.
• Solid Microsoft 365 and Windows skills.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Clear, friendly communication with non-technical customers.
• Organised, reliable and comfortable managing your own ticket queue.
• Own reliable vehicle and full NZ driver's licence (essential).
• Suitable home workspace with reliable internet.
• NZ residency or a valid permanent work visa.

Responsibilities

• Working the support queue via tickets, phone and remote sessions.
• Level 1 support with some Level 2 troubleshooting.
• Onsite visits to customers around Auckland for setups, installs and troubleshooting.

We're a small, established Auckland MSP supporting a range of business customers across different industries. You'll get real variety across many different customer environments, with direct customer contact and the chance to grow your skills.

About the role

This is a hybrid role - you'll work from home handling the support queue, and head out to customer sites around Auckland when hands‑on work is needed. You'll handle primarily Level 1 support with some Level 2, escalating more complex issues while building your skills toward higher-level work.
