Job summary

Massey University in Palmerston North is seeking a Change Specialist to support the delivery of people-centred change and communications across technology-enabled initiatives. Join the Digital Enablement practice within Information Technology Services to plan and deliver change management, stakeholder engagement and communications activities.

You will guide project teams, assess impact and help people understand and adopt new ways of working.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in IT or IT-related roles with experience delivering change and communications across contexts.
• Experience developing and implementing practical change management and communications plans.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience assessing change impacts and organisational readiness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work autonomously with sound judgement on complex assignments.
• Experience contributing to improvement of change and communications practices.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering practical change management and communications plans.
• Conducting change impact and organisational readiness assessments.
• Building relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders.
• Planning and delivering stakeholder engagement and communications activities.
• Identifying change risks and adoption challenges with appropriate responses.
• Gathering feedback and assessing effectiveness of change activities.
• Providing specialist change advice to project teams and stakeholders.
• Developing audience-centred content across formats and channels.
• Supporting adoption of change methods, tools and practices.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of ITS change and communications practices.
