Job summary

NZCL is seeking energetic and motivated Support Workers (Fulltime and Part-time) to mentor rangatahi and tamariki in Palmerston North. Shifts include 7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, and overnight; travel and sleepovers may be required.

You will contribute to a safe, supportive environment where people build confidence and skills. Earn competitive hourly pay ($23.97–$29.68), with free training toward NZQA Health & Wellbeing, plus more benefits.

NZCL are looking for energetic and motivated Fulltime and Part-time Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our Intensive Support Services in Palmerston North. Our shift-times are 7am to 3pm – 3pm to 11pm and wakeover/sleepover 11pm to 7am. The right candidate will have availability to work a mix of morning, evening and overnight shifts

Our Support Workers assist rangitahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. You will:

• Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach.
• Support tamariki or rangitahi to go to school or access education.
• Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
• Support rangitahi/young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.
