Job summary

NZCL in New Plymouth is seeking casual Support Workers to join our Intensive Support Services, helping young adults to live independently within their community. You will coach, mentor and work as part of a team to ensure consistent support and positive outcomes for rangitahi.

Requirements include a desire to support young people, prior experience with youth, understanding of intellectual disability and autism, creative thinking and a full NZ driver's license.

We are looking for casual Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor young adults in our Intensive Support Services in New Plymouth.

Our Support Workers assist young adults who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. You will:

• Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach.
• Support young adults to go to school or access education.
• Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
• Support Rangitahi/Young People to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.
