Job summary

NZCL in New Plymouth is seeking energetic and motivated casual Support Workers to join our Intensive Support Services. You will support young adults to live as independently as possible in the community, coaching and mentoring them in education and daily living skills.

You will work in a teams-based environment, observe health concerns, and help rangitahi achieve goals. We offer training, supervision, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• A desire to support rangitahi/young people to learn and achieve outcomes.
• Previous experience working with young people/rangitahi.
• An understanding of intellectual disability and autism.
• Creativity and team-player mindset.

We are looking for casual Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor young adults in our Intensive Support Services in New Plymouth.

Our Support Workers assist young adults who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. You will:

• Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach.
• Support young adults to go to school or access education.
• Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
• Support Rangitahi/Young People to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.
