Job summary

Healthcarenz Limited in Auckland is seeking permanent full-time Support Workers to assist rangitahi and tamariki with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the community. You will work with a supportive team to provide coaching, mentoring and safe, educational activities in residential services.

Ideal candidates have experience working with young people, a full New Zealand driver's license and a respectful, culturally aware approach.

We are looking for permanent full time Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our Intensive Support Services in South Auckland.

Our Support Workers assist rangitahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. You will:

• Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach.
• Support tamariki or rangitahi to go to school or access education.
• Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
• Support rangitahi/young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.

• A desire to support our rangitahi / young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
• Previous experience working with young people/rangitahi.
• An understanding of Intellectual Disability and Autism.
• Creativity 'out of the box' thinking and a team player.
• A full NZ driver's license.
