Job summary

Vulcan in Nelson is seeking a full-time internal sales support professional with hands-on warehouse duties. You will handle inquiries by phone, email, and in person, prepare quotes, process orders, and confirm stock while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm with no weekends, offering a stable permanent position, team culture, and health and wellness programmes.

Qualifications

• Internal sales or customer service experience.
• Warehousing, dispatch or inventory control experience is a plus.
• Intermediate computer literacy (ERP systems, Outlook, Excel).
• Physically fit for manual handling and warehouse tasks.
• Valid work visa or right to work in New Zealand.

Job description

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Nelson, mostly internal sales support with hands-on warehouse duties. If you enjoy variety, take pride in accuracy, and thrive in a team environment, this role is for you. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. No weekends.

What You Will Do

• Handle inbound customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person
• Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and confirm stock availability
• Build strong customer relationships through responsive internal sales support
• Respond to internal enquiries regarding stock availability and pricing (email and phone)
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately
• Receipt and process incoming stock
• Maintain accurate inventory records, stocktakes, and cycle counts

What You Will Bring

• Internal sales or customer service experience
• Warehousing, dispatch, or inventory control experience (an advantage)
• Fork hoist licence (an advantage)
• Intermediate computer literacy (ERP systems, Outlook, Excel)
• Physically fit to complete manual handling and warehouse tasks
• A valid work visa or the right to work in New Zealand
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
