Job summary

Chemist Warehouse Ashburton is seeking a passionate Full-Time New Zealand Intern Pharmacist (35 to 40 hours per week) with a current NZ Intern APC to join our vibrant team.

In this dynamic role, you will deliver high-quality pharmacy services, assist with scripts and dispensing, provide professional advice to patients, and uphold industry standards while enjoying competitive pay and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to undertake pre-registrant year immediately.
• Ability to work well in a team and autonomously.
• Excellent customer service.
• Eye for detail and accuracy.
• Retail Pharmacy experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the business.
• Knowledge of Pharmacy products.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with scripts in/and out and dispensing.
• General dispensary administration.
• Updating customer files.
• Order, receive, unpack, and manage dispensary stock, including monitoring stock levels and expiry dates.
• Provide professional advice to patients and customers on medicines, minor ailments, and health-related enquiries within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate prescription records and patient information while ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Counting or pouring medicines under Pharmacist supervision.
• Perform the necessary calculations for checking by the Pharmacist.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy management software (Toniq).
