Job summary

New Zealand Government Joba is seeking an experienced learning designer to turn complex intelligence concepts into engaging training materials. You will design, develop and evaluate programmes within the NZDF SAL framework, collaborating with multiple stakeholders across Defence and government agencies.

You will manage course delivery, monitor effectiveness through evaluations, and drive continuous improvement with data insight. Occasional travel and security clearance requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in instructional design and learning development.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of ADDIE or other instructional design models (e.g., SAL).
• Ability to design learning solutions addressing capability and performance needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and evaluate intelligence training programmes using the NZDF SAL framework.
• Manage course schedules, enrolments, delivery and post-course evaluation activities.
• Monitor and review training effectiveness, using data to drive improvement.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, trade authorities, learning providers and governance bodies.
