Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer II to join our client’s on-site team in Queenstown, NZ, focusing on improving manufacturing efficiency and reducing costs. You will analyze systems, design improvements, and collaborate with production staff and management to achieve operational excellence while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in industrial engineering, knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, and proficiency with CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in an industrial engineering role, ideally in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of process optimization, lean principles, and statistics.

About the Role

This is an on-site position focused on enhancing the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for analyzing existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that streamline operations and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a practical understanding of engineering principles, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively with production staff, supervisors, and management to achieve operational excellence and maintain high standards of quality and safety within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data, workflow, and operational processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times and improve efficiency.
• Assist in the design and layout of production facilities and equipment to optimize material flow.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and process changes within the manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product consistency and reduce defects.

Requirements
