Job summary

Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School in New Zealand is seeking an outstanding Learning Support Coordinator to drive inclusive education for Years 1–8. You will lead coordination of learning support systems, work with kaiako, and advocate for neurodiverse kaimanawa.

You will build partnerships with whānau, support staff, and external agencies, coordinate targeted interventions, and coach others to strengthen responsive, high-quality learning across our kura from Term 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating learning support across a school.
• Ability to develop practical, inclusive responses.
• Ability to monitor targeted Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
• Strengthen partnerships with kaimanawa, whānau and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and strengthen learning support systems across the school.
• Work with kaiako to identify barriers to learning and develop inclusive responses.
• Support targeted Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions and monitor their impact.
• Coordinate individual learning plans, transitions and wrap-around support.
• Collaborate with Learning Support team, SLT, Teacher Aides, specialists and external agencies.
• Use assessment, observations and learner voice to inform next steps.
• Coach and build capability in others, not just taking over support.
• Advocate for neurodiverse and additional-needs kaimanawa while maintaining high expectations.
