Job summary

St Joseph's School (Papanui) in Canterbury seeks an enthusiastic, collaborative learning support coordinator to join our school community. The role focuses on coordinating and strengthening learning support across the school to help every learner participate and thrive.

You will work alongside teachers, school leaders, whānau and external agencies to develop programmes for diverse needs and build staff capability in inclusive practice, ensuring positive outcomes for ākonga.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of inclusive education and effective learning support practices.
• Builds positive, respectful relationships with ākonga, whānau and colleagues.
• Coordinate individual learning plans, interventions and appropriate specialist support.
• Works confidently with teachers and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Uses sound assessment and evidence to identify needs and monitor progress.
• Is organised, approachable, solution-focused and committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Believes strongly in the potential and strengths of every learner.
