Job summary

Tait Communications is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to join the Application Development team in Christchurch, NZ. You will own features across Android, iOS and Embedded Linux, collaborating with experienced engineers to drive outcomes for our products.

You will contribute to SDLC processes, help with testing frameworks and support system integration while learning leadership opportunities and owning project initiatives as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Intermediate level experience in developing software applications that operate across Android, iOS and Embedded Linux.
• Experience with strongly typed languages such as C++ or C#.
• Experience with Android and iOS development tools (Maui and/or Kotlin) would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with developing applications in the cloud (using Docker and Docker Compose), SDLC practices and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications for Android, iOS and Embedded Linux across devices.
• Collaborate with architects, senior engineers and stakeholders to align with product strategy.
• Participate in SDLC with focus on learning and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Support system integration and testing strategies, including automated testing frameworks.
• Contribute to product lifecycle by addressing customer feedback and improvements.
