Tait Communications in Christchurch, NZ, is seeking a Lead Design Engineer - Team Lead Platforms. You will lead and coach a team of engineers, balance delivery priorities, and maintain high engineering quality while staying hands-on with embedded software.
You'll work with Technical Leads and Project Leads, plan resources across projects, support recruitment, and drive continuous improvement and adoption of new tools.
Formación
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in product development.
- Experience delivering embedded software for complex products.
- Strong planning and allocation of technical resources.
- Hands-on engineering reviews and mentoring.
Responsabilidades
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, fostering engagement, performance, and professional growth.
- Plan and coordinate team resources across projects and priorities to achieve delivery objectives.
- Support recruitment, capability development, succession planning, and team wellbeing.
- Act as Project Coordinator on assigned projects, overseeing planning, coordination, reporting, and risk management.
- Provide technical leadership through engineering reviews, mentoring, and hands-on contribution to product development activities.
- Champion innovation by supporting the evaluation and adoption of new tools, technologies, and engineering practices.
