Tait Communications in Christchurch, New Zealand, seeks an Intermediate Software Engineer to own features across Android, iOS and Embedded Linux. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, drive initiatives and help shape product delivery.

You’ll work with C++, C# and cloud-based tooling (Docker/Docker Compose), and you’ll have opportunities to grow leadership skills while delivering high-quality solutions for our customers.

Qualifications

• Intermediate level experience developing software across Android, iOS and Embedded Linux.
• Experience with strongly typed languages such as C++ or C#.
• Experience with Android and iOS development tools (Maui and/or Kotlin).
• Familiarity with cloud apps using Docker and Docker Compose, SDLC practices and automated testing.
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for team success.
• Strong communication and drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications for Android, iOS and Embedded Linux platforms.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to align with product strategy.
• Participate in the SDLC focusing on learning and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Support system integration and ensure seamless component interaction.
• Assist testing strategies and contribute to automated testing frameworks.
• Contribute to product lifecycle improvements based on customer feedback.
