Tait Communications in Christchurch, NZ is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to join an Application Development team on an on-site, full-time basis. The role focuses on building software across Android, iOS, and Embedded Linux, with ownership of features and leadership opportunities on projects.

You’ll collaborate with architects and senior engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and contribute to the SDLC, automation testing, and system integration efforts while growing technically

Qualifications

• Experience with strongly typed languages such as C++, C# or similar.
• Experience with Android and iOS development tools (Maui and/or Kotlin) would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with developing applications in the cloud (using Docker) and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications for a range of devices, ensuring they meet user needs and company standards.
• Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, and other stakeholders to align with the product development strategy.
• Participate in key aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a focus on learning and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Support system integration efforts, ensuring seamless interaction between multiple components.
• Assist with testing strategies, including contributing to automated testing frameworks, to maintain product reliability.
• Support the product lifecycle by addressing customer feedback and contributing to improvements.
