Job summary

Health New Zealand is seeking a People & Capability Coordinator in Taranaki for a full-time fixed term until 5 February 2027. You will support the AskHR service, manage employee records, prepare reports and assist with onboarding, HR administration and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers a varied workload across HR administration, onboarding, reporting and customer service, with opportunities to build strong relationships in a collaborative team environment within the Te Whatu

Qualifications

Experience in HR administration or People & Capability coordination.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate enquiries received through the AskHR shared mailbox, ensuring timely and professional responses.
Provide first point of contact advice and support to managers and employees on People and Capability processes and procedures.
Prepare reports, collate data and provide administrative support to inform People & Capability performance and decision-making.
Maintain accurate records, databases, documents and employee information.
Support HR administration and onboarding activities across the employee lifecycle.
Contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
