Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in New Plymouth, North Island, is seeking a People & Capability Coordinator to support the AskHR service and deliver high-quality HR services across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in HR administration, People & Capability coordination, business support, project coordination, or a similar support role.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Provide first point of contact advice and support to managers and employees on People and Capability processes and procedures.
  • Prepare reports, collate data and provide administrative support to inform People & Capability performance and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, documents and employee information.
  • Support HR administration and onboarding activities across the employee lifecycle.
  • Contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role

This full-time fixed term opportunity until 5 February 2027 offers the chance to contribute to a broad range of People & Capability activities while supporting the delivery of high-quality HR services across the organisation.

As a People & Capability Coordinator, you will be a key point of contact for the AskHR service, managing enquiries received through the shared mailbox, coordinating responses, maintaining accurate employee records and documentation, preparing reports, and ensuring managers and employees receive timely and professional support.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will work across HR administration, onboarding, reporting, document management, compliance activities and customer service, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, building strong relationships, thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
