Job summary

Ministry of Health - Manatū Hauora in Wellington is seeking an HR coordinator to support managers and employees, coordinate recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and HR processes. This permanent full-time role offers a wellness allowance after 12 months and a chance to work with an experienced HR Business Partnering team.

You will be the first point of contact for Ask HR, build relationships across the organisation, and help improve HR systems and workflows while delivering high-quality people

Qualifications

• A qualification in HR or equivalent experience, along with a solid understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with confidence using a range of systems and technology.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• A keen eye for detail, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for Ask HR and recruitment enquiries, providing timely and accurate support to managers, employees and candidates.
• Coordinate key HR processes including recruitment support, onboarding and offboarding activities, wellness payments, and the workflow of employment documentation.
• Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the HR Business Partnering team, helping keep priorities on track and ensuring work is delivered efficiently.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and ways of working.
