Job summary

The Ministry of Health in Wellington is seeking an HR Coordinator to support managers and staff, coordinate key HR processes, and help deliver high-quality people services. This permanent, full-time role offers a wellness allowance after 12 months and provides an opportunity to grow within the HR Business Partnering team.

You will be the first point of contact for HR and recruitment inquiries, coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of HR

Qualifications

• A qualification in HR or equivalent experience, along with a solid understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with confidence using a range of systems and technology.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• A keen eye for detail, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for HR and recruitment enquiries, providing timely and accurate support to managers, employees and candidates.
• Coordinate key HR processes including recruitment support, onboarding and offboarding activities, wellness payments, and the workflow of employment documentation.
• Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the HR Business Partnering team, helping keep priorities on track and ensuring work is delivered efficiently.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and ways of working.
