Job summary

InterContinental Wellington is seeking an enthusiastic HR Coordinator for a 9-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave, starting mid November 2026. The role offers exposure to a broad HR remit within a luxury hotel environment and supports a busy leadership team.

The successful candidate will have strong administration and hospitality or customer service experience, with excellent communication and meticulous attention to detail. Training and career development are provided.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and support hiring managers.
• Prepare employment documents, offers and contracts.
• Maintain employee records and HR data accuracy.
• Coordinate training and development activities.
• Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers.
• Assist with HR reporting and People & Culture initiatives.
• Support employee engagement and wellbeing activities.
• Assist with payroll preparation, processing and coordination.
