Job summary

InterContinental Wellington is seeking an enthusiastic and organised HR Coordinator to join our team on a 9‑month fixed-term contract covering parental leave from mid November 2026 to mid August 2027. You'll support employee experience hotel-wide, coordinate recruitment, document preparation, payroll coordination, and HR data accuracy, working closely with hotel leaders.

Ideal candidates have admin/coordination or hospitality experience, strong communication, confidentiality, and a proactive,

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, coordination, or office support roles.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Confidential, customer-focused approach.
• Payroll experience is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment with hiring managers.
• Prepare employment documents, offers and contracts.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data.
• Coordinate training and development activities.
• Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers.
• Assist with HR reporting and People & Culture initiatives.
• Support employee engagement and wellbeing activities.
• Assist with payroll preparation and coordination.
