We believe that everyone is capable of living full and rich lives in their communities of choice. In every aspect of our work, we are committed to helping whānau be the best they can be.

As our Napier based Housing Services Referral Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for social service agencies for housing referrals. This role will act as the primary contact for referrals, providing phone and written support to referrers. It will involve direct coordination with regional teams to manage the entry, transfer, and exit of tenants and service users from Accommodation Services.

This role primarily focuses on leveraging your strong administrative and communication skills to ensure a well-documented and seamless process in all interactions, both internal and external.

Although the role is mainly administrative, it also involves some community engagement, so you'll need to be able to communicate effectively with the whānau we serve to ensure their needs are met.

This is a permanent part-time position (20 hours per week) based in Napier, working Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time role in the New Year.

People will often refer to you as the 'organiser' of the group, as completing tasks and making things happen is where you thrive. You'll love to focus on building relationships with key stakeholders and getting stuck into tasks as well as being details focused and adept at prioritising.

If you also bring along the following, we would love to hear from you:
  • High level of discretion when processing sensitive information.
  • Be able to work in a non-judgemental environment.
  • Comfortable using multiple systems including Excel, Microsoft Office.
  • The right to live and work in Aotearoa.
  • Full New Zealand Driver's License (essential).

At the heart of our team is a strong, supportive culture where we build each other up and celebrate both personal and professional wins. If you're looking for a workplace where you can thrive in a positive, encouraging environment, you'll fit right in with us!

In addition, we also offer:
  • Salary band: $63,416.35 - $71,525.62 (placement within this band is based on experience and qualification)
  • Learning, development, and training opportunities, inclusive of 5-10 paid study leave days.
  • Great staff benefits, including store discounts, and 3 days of well-being leave.
  • Discounted health insurance through Southern Cross Health.
