Auckland Harbour Suites, part of Minor Hotels, is expanding its housekeeping team and has a part-time opportunity available. We’re seeking energetic, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering a pristine guest experience and who thrive in a team environment.

Successful candidates will clean guest rooms to a high standard, manage tasks within shift hours, and adhere to safety protocols. Training is provided, and applicants must have working rights in Australia or New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment; training provided.
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks.
• Clear communication with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive attitude with strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Auckland Harbour Suites is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with a part-time opportunity now available.

About the job

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change)

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00 am and 9.00am

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
