Job summary

Millbrook Resort in Arrowtown is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping team member to deliver a high-end cleaning service across luxury accommodation, spa, restaurants, and fitness facilities.

You will perform check-out cleans, daily servicing, and report maintenance issues, working in indoor and outdoor environments. The role is hands-on, physically active, and requires weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in five-star hotel or luxury resort environment preferred.
• Strong work ethic, time management skills and high cleanliness standards.
• Clear and respectful communication with guests and team members.
• Attention to detail and proactive reporting of maintenance issues.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible, able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform check-out cleans: beds, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, mopping and restocking supplies.
• Daily room servicing to keep spaces clean, tidy and welcoming.
• Report maintenance issues promptly to ensure seamless guest experience.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor resort environments.
• Be physically active and able to stand for long periods; compliant with safety guidelines.

This role is all about creating memorable stays, from offering a warm welcome to ensuring every detail is perfect for ourguests. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team, providing ahigh-end, personalised cleaning service across the resort, including ourpremium accommodation, Health & Fitness Centre, restaurants, andaward-winning spa.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible forcheck-out cleans, which include making beds, scrubbing bathrooms, dusting,vacuuming, mopping floors, and restocking supplies. Daily room servicing isalso a key part of the role, ensuring our guests return to a clean, tidy, andwelcoming space. You will also report any maintenance issues in a timely mannerto ensure a seamless guest experience.

This is a hands-on, physically active role involvingrepetitive tasks and movement throughout your shift. You will be working inboth indoor and outdoor environments, making it ideal for those who enjoy beingactive and surrounded by nature in one of New Zealand’s most stunning resortsettings.

• Cleaningexperience in five-star Hotel or comparable environment preferred
• Have astrong work ethic, excellent time management skills and take pride in highstandards of cleanliness and presentation
• Communicateclearly and respectfully with both guests and team members
• Showattention to detail and a proactive approach to reporting maintenanceissues
• Abilityto work on independently while also being a strong team player
• Bereliable, punctual, and able to respond to a variety of situations with acollaborative and flexible approach
• Bephysically fit and capable of handling the demands of a hands-on,fast-paced environment, as role involves regular manual handling,repetitive tasks, and being on your feet for long periods of time
• Abilityto work weekends and public holidays in line with operational requirements
• DriversLicence advantageous

Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown

Hours: Full-time permanent and fixed-term seasonal positionsavailable(30 hours per week guaranteed)

Hourly Rate: $26.50-28.00 gross per hour
