Job summary

Eichardt's Private Hotel in Queenstown is hiring an experienced All-Rounder to support our Guest Services and Night teams across both daytime and overnight operations. This role demands initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to delivering exceptional service at all times.

You will manage the front desk, handle phone and email enquiries, assist guests with excursions and bookings, and work collaboratively with Housekeeping and F&B to ensure a seamless, personalised 5-star experience

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in a similar customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming, personalised guest experience and deliver 5-star service.
• Manage the front desk across both day and overnight shifts, ensuring smooth operations.
• Handle phone and email enquiries professionally and promptly.
• Assist guests with excursions, activities, and restaurant bookings.
• Assist with hotel safety and security procedures, including property checks and policy compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Provide hands-on support across departments, including Housekeeping and F&B when required.
• Regularly cover overnight shifts to ensure guest safety and end-of-day reports.
• Maintain presentation across guest-facing areas.

This position requires initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach, with the ability to seamlessly transition between departments while delivering exceptional service at all times.

• Assist with hotel safety and security procedures, including property checks and ensuring compliance with hotel policies.
• Work collaboratively alongside other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
• Provide hands‑on support across departments, including Housekeeping and Food & Beverage when required
• Regularly cover overnight shifts, ensuring smooth hotel operations, guest safety, and completion of end-of-day procedures and management reports
• Maintain a high level of presentation across all guest-facing areas

The successful applicant will:

• Have 1-2 years' experience in a similar customer service role
• Deliver excellent standards of customer service
• Possess effective problem-solving skills
• Driver's licence preferred
• Full NZ working rights
