Kinetic Recruitment is assisting a well-established transport business in Tasman/Tākaka to hire a Heavy Diesel Mechanic. You’ll service, repair and maintain a varied heavy vehicle fleet, with a hands-on role in diagnostics, fault-finding and roadside support.

You’ll work with a supportive team, follow strict health and safety practices and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Ongoing learning and skills development are encouraged in a stable, reputable workshop.

Qualificações

• Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification or equivalent
• Solid heavy diesel mechanical experience
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Pride in workmanship
• Practical, reliable, detail-oriented

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance across a heavy vehicle fleet
• Diagnosing faults and root-cause analysis
• Inspecting vehicles for safety and reliability
• Completing scheduled maintenance and tracking vehicle condition
• Recording servicing, repairs and maintenance accurately
• Attending breakdowns and roadside repairs
• Working with team to keep the fleet moving
• Following health and safety requirements and maintaining workmanship

I'm working with a well-established transport business with a fantastic reputation in the industry, and they're looking to add a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to their team.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance across a heavy vehicle fleet
• Diagnosing faults and getting to the root of mechanical issues
• Inspecting vehicles and ensuring they're safe, reliable and ready for the road
• Completing scheduled maintenance and keeping on top of vehicle condition
• Recording servicing, repairs and maintenance accurately
• Attending breakdowns and assisting with roadside repairs when required
• Working closely with the wider team to keep the fleet moving
• Following all health and safety requirements and maintaining a high standard of workmanship

What we're looking for
