Tradestaff is looking for an experienced NZ-qualified Diesel Mechanic in Christchurch to service, diagnose and repair trucks and heavy diesel vehicles. If you have strong mechanical skills, enjoy fault-finding and take pride in quality workmanship, we want to hear from you!

Location: Christchurch, Canterbury. Start date: Immediate. Pay rate: $38–$45 per hour with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• NZ-qualified Diesel Mechanic — essential.
• Proven experience servicing and repairing heavy diesel vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes and hydraulics.
• Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair trucks and heavy diesel vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Complete engine, gearbox and transmission repairs.
• Inspect and repair braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Diagnose and maintain hydraulic and mechanical components.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety.

What You'll Be Doing

• Service, maintain and repair trucks and heavy diesel vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs
