About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team. This role also includes responsibilities as a Heavy Vehicle Inspector, ensuring the safety and compliance of heavy vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy vehicles to keep them running efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines and heavy vehicles.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections of trucks, buses, and other diesel-powered equipment.
  • Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations as a Heavy Vehicle Inspector.
  • Repair and replace faulty engine components, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct road tests and performance assessments to verify repairs and safety.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate service records and report on vehicle conditions.
  • Follow safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic with relevant certifications.
  • Experience working with heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, or industrial diesel machinery.
  • Heavy Vehicle Inspection certification (or willingness to obtain if required).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in diesel engines.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to work on heavy vehicles, including lifting and manual tasks.
  • A valid driver's license (preferably heavy vehicle license).
