Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic for a busy West Auckland workshop. You will diagnose faults, service and repair trucks, plant, and heavy equipment, ensuring high standards and efficient operations.

The role offers competitive pay up to $45 per hour, weekly pay, and an immediate start. Opportunity for ongoing work and exposure to diverse heavy machinery within a supportive Tradestaff team.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Level 4) is required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Full NZ Driver Licence required.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical faults on heavy diesel vehicles and machinery.
• Service and maintain trucks, plant, and equipment.
• Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Complete maintenance records and workshop documentation.

Heavy Diesel Mechanic

We’re currently looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop in West Auckland. About the Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the diagnosis, servicing, and repair of heavy diesel vehicles and machinery. You'll work on a range of equipment including trucks, plant, and heavy machinery, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and ready for operation.

What We’re Looking For
