Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in automotive trades industry.
• Proven experience as a Top Level Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong technical skills in heavy diesel maintenance and repair.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in the use of specialised tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Valid driver's licence; Class 2 and above preferred.
• Drug free.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel engines and drill rigs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Rebuild and overhaul components such as mud pumps, air compressors, transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient operations and minimise downtime.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.

We are seeking a Top Level Highly Skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Brown Bros (N.Z) Ltd' a leading Water Bore and Exploration Drilling Company based in Hamilton. This full-time role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of our heavy diesel equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel engines and drill rigs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Rebuild and overhaul components such as mud pumps, air compressors, transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Top Level Heavy Diesel Mechanic, with a minimum of 3 years in the automotive trades industry
• Flexible, Honest and Reliable
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of heavy diesel engine maintenance and repair
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in the use of specialised tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail
• Valid driver's licence and clean driving record, Class 2 and above preferred
