Job summary

Trade Assist in Canterbury is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to service, maintain, repair and fault-find heavy machinery across workshop and field environments. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance and help keep equipment running smoothly.

Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications, solid industry experience and a current NZ Driver Licence.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and solid industry experience.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Full NZ Driver Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy machinery.
• Diagnosing and fault finding mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance.
• Working across workshop and site environments.
• Helping keep machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• General workshop, yard and equipment duties.
