Job summary

The ideal applicant will be an excellent communicator who can deal with others in a courteous, tactful, and efficient manner, while remaining calm in high pressure situations. We work 12 hour shifts and 7 days a fortnight, on a rotating roster.As part of the emergency response team, a typical day in the life of a Security Officer involves a combination of routine tasks and quick responses to unexpected situations. The shift will start and finish with a brief handover to ensure continued safety of the environment. The officer conducts regular patrols through Emergency Department, Triage, Wards and Departments, monitors CCTV systems, and ensures the safety of the staff, patients and visitors. Throughout the shift, they respond to calls for assistance or Code Grey calls, handle emergencies such as fire alarms, and document incidents.
