Job summary

New Zealand Intelligence Community invites a Strategic Workforce Management and Analytics Lead to steer the Workforce Management and Analytics (WFM&A) function for NZIC, including senior-level workforce insights and strategic initiatives across agencies in Wellington.

You will translate data into meaningful insights, build capability in workforce planning, and drive modern analytics and reporting practices while partnering with Finance, Payroll and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing a specialist analytical or workforce planning team.
• Ability to translate complex workforce data into actionable recommendations for executive decision-making.
• Excellent communication and influence skills to advise senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing workforce management and analytics team.
• Set strategic direction for workforce management and analytics across the NZ Intelligence Community.
• Support personnel budgeting with finance to provide workforce costing and forecasting insights.
• Ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of workforce reporting and insights.
• Drive adoption of modern workforce planning practices across agency directorates.
• Lead strategic initiatives including scenario modelling, predictive analytics and organisational design.
• Modernise reporting by improving tools, automation and self-service capabilities.
• Present workforce insights and strategic advice to Joint and Senior Leadership Teams.
• Build partnerships across People & Capability, Finance, Payroll and external stakeholders.
