Job summary

New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) in Wellington is seeking a Strategic Workforce Management and Analytics Lead to oversee workforce planning, analytics and cost insights for NZIC and its partner agencies.

Reporting to the Deputy Director-General, People & Capability, you will lead a specialist team translating data into strategic recommendations, shaping workforce strategy and modernising reporting across the agencies. This is a full-time, permanent role.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading analytical teams translating data into practical recommendations for executive decision-making.
Ability to influence and advise senior leaders.
Expertise in workforce management, people analytics, or related fields.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing workforce management and analytics team.
Set the strategic direction for workforce management and analytics across the NZIC.
Support the personnel budgeting process with forecasting and insights.
Ensure the quality, accuracy and integrity of workforce reporting and insights.
Drive modernization of workforce reporting and analytics capabilities with better tools and self-service reporting.
Present workforce insights, recommendations and strategic advice to Joint and Senior Leadership Teams.
Build strong partnerships across People & Capability, Finance, Payroll, Business Managers, and external stakeholders.
