Job summary

Ara Poutama Aotearoa - Department of Corrections is seeking a Manager Organisational Learning to lead the department's approach to learning and continuous improvement, transforming everyday experience and disruptive events into proactive insights that strengthen performance and capability.

You will coordinate learning across the organisation, align findings with governance and external providers, and foster accountability and a culture of learning and improvement to support safer public

Qualifications

• Strong EI and stakeholder engagement in complex environments.
• Expertise in contemporary organisational learning methodologies.
• Proven people leadership and team management.
• Strong systems thinking and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to simplify complex issues.
• Experience leading teams in complex or high-risk environments.
• Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and public sector partnership principles.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, able to manage ambiguity and priorities.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in investigation techniques or equivalent experience.
