Job summary

Mercury NZ Limited seeks a senior L&D leader to drive the enterprise learning and workforce capability strategy across our organisation. You will build governance, identify capability priorities and deliver scalable, digitally enabled learning programs in collaboration with the OD and People Experience teams.

You will manage a small L&D team, partner with stakeholders at all levels, and use data to demonstrate impact while supporting flexible work arrangements across Auckland, Tauranga, and

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-wide learning strategies.
• Proven stakeholder management across all business levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Mercury’s enterprise learning and capability strategy.
• Establish frameworks to identify current and future workforce capability needs.
• Lead scalable, digitally enabled learning programmes.
• Strengthen governance and consistency across learning and development activity.
• Support capability uplift for digital, AI and technology-enabled working methods.
• Partner with the OD team on leadership, talent and organisational initiatives.
• Use learning data to measure impact and drive improvements.
• Manage learning systems, external providers, budgets and partner performance.
• Lead, coach and develop a small team of L&D specialists.
