Job summary

Hynds Pipe Systems Limited in Cromwell is seeking a hands-on team member to support front-counter service and yard operations. You’ll advise customers, process quotes and orders, and help load trucks. The role blends admin tasks with stock management and forklift handling, ensuring a smooth branch flow.

Applicants should have front-counter experience, a full NZ driver’s licence, and ideally a forklift licence. Physical fitness and a proactive attitude are valued.

Responsibilities

• Being the go-to at the front counter – advice, quotes, orders and queries on the spot.
• Running the yard – stock control, picking orders, cycle counts, tidy and safe yard.
• Loading/unloading trucks – assist customers with loading, by hand or forklift.
• Getting the admin right – invoicing, receipting, credits and daily paperwork.
• Becoming a genuine product expert to solve problems before they start.
