Job summary

Metlifecare Papakura Oaks seeks an experienced Food Services Manager (Chef) to lead the kitchen operations and work hands-on with the team. You will be responsible for profitable kitchen management, delivering quality meals and a superb resident dining experience.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with flexibility to work weekends for events. You will shape menus, recruit and develop staff, and ensure health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Experienced Chef with management experience in hospitality.
• Experience in aged care is advantageous.
• Natural leader; able to build a culture of service.
• Strong IT skills to navigate digital aspects of the role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, seven days a week, including food preparation and high meal presentation.
• Manage stock control, policies, procedures, and internal audits.
