Job summary

Arvida invites applications for a Cook role within our aged care and independent living communities in New Zealand. You will prepare and serve meals across all daily services, while maintaining high food safety standards and a resident-focused approach.

Weekend shifts are required and you will work closely with a supportive kitchen team to deliver nutritious, engaging dining experiences for residents. Your experience in commercial kitchens, strong baking skills, and excellent time management

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or cafe.
• Able to work weekends and across the week.
• Flexible to pick up extra shifts.
• Excellent cooking and baking skills.
• Strong food hygiene practices.
• Good time management and organisation.
• Empathy towards older adults.
• Honesty, reliability and integrity.
• NZ Food Safety Certificate.
• Cookery or similar qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals across all daily services.
• Maintain compliance with Food Control Plan.
• Support smooth delivery of kitchen services.
• Collaborate with kitchen team for nutritious experiences.
• Assist with morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
