Job summary

IAG in New Zealand is seeking a Guidewire Developer to deliver, enhance and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions within an Agile team. You’ll collaborate with developers, analysts and stakeholders to create robust software, participate in code reviews, testing and deployments, and help resolve production issues.

This permanent full-time role is based in Auckland or Wellington and offers strong learning opportunities.

Qualifications

2–3 years of software development experience.
Hands-on with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket.
Familiar with CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience in Agile environments.
Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of General Insurance products.
Understanding of automation, monitoring or DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Develop, configure and support Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews, testing and deployment activities to ensure quality and reliability.
Investigate and resolve application defects and production issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice software development standards.
Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups and retrospectives.
