Job summary

IAG in New Zealand is seeking a Guidewire Developer to deliver, enhance and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions within an Agile team. You’ll collaborate with developers, analysts and stakeholders to create robust software, participate in code reviews, testing and deployments, and help resolve production issues.

This permanent full-time role is based in Auckland or Wellington and offers strong learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Familiar with CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of General Insurance products.
• Understanding of automation, monitoring or DevOps practices.

We are seeking a Guidewire Developer to support the development, enhancement and maintenance of Guidewire applications across our technology landscape. Working within an Agile delivery team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and support platform stability and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have good foundation in Guidewire PolicyCenter who is looking to further develop their technical capabilities in a collaborative environment.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington)

Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do

• Exposure to source control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of insurance products, preferably within General Insurance.
• Understanding of automation, monitoring or DevOps practices.
